Meet The Women Behind Stratford Makers Market
NICOLE BEARSS- OWNER OF THE CREATIVE BEAR
" When the idea of joining forces with a group of local buisness women came about I couldn't have been more excited. We all had the same idea with what we wanted this to become, bring top tier markets to our area and raise money for our community. We have done just that and I couldn't be more proud."
ABBY RIVERS- CO-OWNER OF PETALS 2 POSH
"As a hair client of Brittany’s, she would tell me all of her big plans of how she wants to highlight local small businesses by creating craft shows in Stratford.
I always expressed my love and support of her ideas and offered to help any way I could to help make her vision a reality.
When she asked me if I wanted to be a part of the committee, it was an immediate giddy “heck yes”.
I am so happy I get to play a role in planning amazing markets while giving back to my community with an incredible group of talented ladies."
ROSALIE- OWNER OF GEORGIE & CO
"Being born and raised in Stratford makes you appreciate the small businesses and artsy side of the town. Having the opportunity to partner with other amazing business owners to bring our visions to life has been truly game changing. I am beyond proud and honoured to be part of this group and I look forward to what more we can bring to the table to make Stratford even better!"
SARA CLARKE - OWNER OF SARA CLARKE DESIGNS
“As a local business that frequents small town markets, I was excited to join forces and create Stratford Makers Market with these four other talented women.
We share the same passion and strive for excellence in every event we put forward. We put all of our efforts into creating diverse markets that give makers an opportunity to showcase their work. Giving back to our community is so important to us, which is why each event we host supports an organization within our city.
I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
BITTANY HENRY -OWNER OF BRITTANY'S BATH BOMBS
"I started Brittany's Bath Bombs and More in March 2016. The business started off small but I always knew I wanted to make it grow! I started hosting small markets with other local business owners in town right in my driveway. Holiday after holiday we would host markets at my house, always having such great support from the community. During Covid when we weren't able to be with each other in person, it shook things up for my small business. I did all my sales online, it was okay but i missed the social interaction with my fellow business babes. I knew once covid lifted I wanted to get the ladies together to host a BIG market. One that brought lots of joy to people. Our first market together was a HUGE success and we were on a high. From there Stratford Makers Market was born. I am so glad to have met these women through our side hustles. We have created something so wonderful and it feels so good to give back to our community! I cant wait to see what the future has in store for us."
